If your computer passes all the checks listed below, you should be able to use the main features of Blackboard.

We recommend using Mozilla Firefox as your browser for Blackboard.

Popup Window

If this check fails, you will need to enable Popup Windows for your browser for Bb tests and other activities requiring Popup Windows. You will also need to disable any browser toolbars that have popup blockers.


Java
Check

No Java Support.

If you see nothing to the left (or just a gray box) then Java functionality is not available.

The version of Java that Blackboard currently supports is 1.7.0_x.  Older versions may work, but if you're experiencing problems with Blackboard, you may try updating your Java Plug-in.

If more than one version is listed, we recommended you remove the older version(s) to eliminate potential security vulnerabilities, Java Uninstall Tool.
